زمینه و هدف: در مرحله بقای سرطان پروستات، کیفیت زندگی یکی از شاخصهای کلیدی ارزیابی پیامدهای سلامت بهشمار میرود. از سوی دیگر، نحوه ادراک بیماران از بیماری خود میتواند بر شیوه سازگاری، رفتارهای سلامت و در نهایت بر کیفیت زندگی آنان تأثیرگذار باشد. بر این اساس، مطالعه حاضر با هدف بررسی ارتباط بین ادراک بیماری و کیفیت زندگی در بقایافتگان سرطان پروستات انجام شد.
روش تحقیق: پژوهش حاضر یک مطالعه توصیفی همبستگی بود. تعداد 230 نفر از بقایافتگان سرطان پروستات مراجعهکننده به بیمارستان لبافینژاد به صورت در دسترس و تدریجی به مدت 3 ماه انتخاب شدند. ابزار جمعآوری دادهها در مطالعه حاضر فرم مشخصات دموگرفیک، پرسشنامه ادراک بیماری بردبنت (Illness Perception Questionnaire) و پرسشنامه کیفیت زندگی EORTC QLQ-C30 بود. دادهها با استفاده از نرمافزار SPSS نسخه 22 تجزیه و تحلیل شد.
یافتهها: تحلیلها نشان داد بین ادراک بیماری و کیفیت زندگی کل همبستگی مثبت و معناداری (۵۴۴/۰ =r) وجود دارد، بهطوریکه درک واقعبینانهتر بیماری با نمره کیفیت زندگی بالاتر همراه بود. تحلیل رگرسیون تعدیل شده نشان داد، متغیرهای «قابلیت درک بیماری» (001/0>P؛ 449/0=r) و «بازنمایی بیماریهای شناختی» (001/0>P؛ 324/0=r) به میزان 9/29 درصد کیفیت زندگی در بقایافتگان را تبیین کردند.
نتیجهگیری: بین کیفیت زندگی و ادراک بیماری رابطه مثبت و معناداری مشاهده شد که بیانگر نقش تسهیلگرِ بازنمایی شناختی واقعبینانه از بیماری در سازگاری بهتر است. بنابراین، مداخلات آینده باید تقویت درک صحیح بیماران از بیماری را بهمنظور ارتقای واقعی کیفیت زندگی آنان مورد توجه جدی قرار دهند.
