بررسی فصل تولّد در بیماران اسکیزوفرنی بستری شده در بیمارستان سینای شهر همدان از سال 1378 تا 1383

<div style="text-align: justify;">زمینه و هدف: میزان تولّد بیماران مبتلا به اسکیزوفرنی در جهان در زمستان و بهار 5% تا 8% بیشتر از میزان تولّد در جمعیت کلّی است که علل این پدیده ناشناخته است. مطالعه حاضر با هدف تعیین فصل تولّد در بیماران اسکیزوفرنی انجام شد. روش تحقیق: در این مطالعه توصیفی- تحلیلی که به صورت مقطعی انجام شد، 654 بیمار مبتلا به اسکیزوفرنی که از سال 1378 تا 1383 در بیمارستان سینای شهر همدان بستری شده بودند و بیماری آنها بر اساس معیارهای تشخیصی DSM-IV تعیین شده بود، مورد مطالعه قرار گرفتند. ابزار گردآوری دادهها پرسشنامهای بود که شامل سؤالات مربوط به اطلاعات فردی بیمار و سؤالات مرتبط با اهداف مطالعه بود. دادهها جمعآوریشده با استفاده از نرمافزار (10) SPSS و با به کارگیری آمار توصیفی، استنباطی در سطح معنیداری 05/0P≤ مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفتند. یافتهها: 381 نفر از افراد مورد مطالعه مرد و 273 نفر زن بودند. بیشتر نمونهها در فصل بهار (2/46%) و زمستان (8/31%) و کمترین آنها (6/7%) در فصل تابستان متولّد شده بودند. نتیجهگیری: نتایج این مطالعه نشاندهنده تأثیر متغیرهای فصلی در ابتلا به بیماری اسکیزوفرنی میباشد؛ به طوری که میزان ابتلا به بیماری در متولّدین فصول بهار و زمستان بیشتر از تابستان و پاییز است.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">Background and Aim: Birth rate of patients with schizophrenia during the winter and spring months is 5%-8% higher worldwide than their rate in the general population, although the reasons are unknown. The aim of this study was to determine birth season of schizophrenic patients hospitalized in Sina hospital of Hamedan city between 1999 and 2004. Materials and Methods: In this descriptive- analytical (cross-sectional) study, 645 schizophrenic cases who had been hospitalized in Sina psychiatric center of Hamedan city between 1999 and 2004 and their disorder had been determined based on Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders criteria (DSM-IV) were surveyed. Means of data collection was a questionnaire consisting of personal history queries and queries regarding the aims of the study. The obtained data was analysed by means of SPSS (10) software and using descriptive-inferential statistics at the significant level P≤0.05. Results: The subjects included 381 men and 273 women. Most cases had been born in spring (46.2%) and winter (31.8%), and the least births (7.6%) belonged to summer. Conclusion: The results showed the effects of seasonal variations on the occurrence of schizophrenic patients’ births as their births had a higher frequency in spring and winter rather than in summer and autumn.</div>
